1. Parts of Speech:
Nouns: Names of people, places, things, or ideas.

2. Sentence Structure:
Subject: Main noun or pronoun that the sentence is about.
Predicate: Contains the verb and provides information about the subject.
Clauses: Groups of words containing a subject and a predicate. Independent clauses can stand alone; dependent clauses need an independent clause.
Phrases: Groups of words without a subject and predicate that function as a unit.
3. Verb Tenses:
Present Simple: General truths, habits, and actions in the present.
Present Continuous: Actions happening around the present moment.
Present Perfect: Actions with a connection between past and present.
Past Simple: Actions completed in the past.
Past Continuous: Actions ongoing in the past.
Past Perfect: Actions completed before a specific past point.

4. Sentence Types:
Declarative: Makes a statement.
Interrogative: Asks a question.
Imperative: Gives a command or request.
Exclamatory: Expresses strong emotion.
5. Subject-Verb Agreement:
Singular subjects require singular verbs; plural subjects require plural verbs.
6. Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement:
Pronouns should match the gender and number of the antecedent (the noun they refer to).
7. Active and Passive Voice:
Active Voice: The subject performs the action.
Passive Voice: The subject receives the action.
8. Punctuation:
Use commas for lists, introductory phrases, and pauses.
Semicolons link related independent clauses or items in a list with commas.
Colons introduce lists, explanations, or quotations.
Quotation marks enclose direct speech or quotations.
Apostrophes indicate possession or form contractions.
Periods end declarative and imperative sentences.
Question marks end interrogative sentences.
