1.‘Apthamithra’

Notes:- The state government of Karnataka has recently launched a helpline in the name of “Apthamitra”, which aims at providing medical advice and guidance for the needy people.
The helpline comprises of both a toll-free number and a mobile application and was launched by the Chief Minister of the state. The helpline could be contacted, if anyone has symptoms of coronavirus. An expert medical team would provide medical advice to the user, based on their symptoms.

2. ‘Kishan Sabha”

Notes:- The Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), a New Delhi-based laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has recently launched a mobile application named ‘Kisan Sabha’ to connect farmers to supply chain, amidst the nation-wide lockdown.
The application aims to provide logistics support to the farmers so that they can directly connect with the institutional buyers. This linkage with the freight transportation Management System would minimize middlemen and increase the profit of farmers.

3. “eNAM platform”

Notes:- The Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar recently launched integration of 117 additional wholesale mandis with the electronic National Agriculture Market (eNAM) platform.
After the integration, the total number of online mandis became 962, across the country against the target of 1000 mandis before May 15. In the e-NAM platform, distant bidding facility for wholesale produce in APMC mandis without physical presence of buyer or trader and e-payment facility are provided.

4. ‘Everybody will get employment’ scheme”

Notes:- The state of Madhya Pradesh is set to launch the ‘Everybody will get employment’ scheme through video conferencing.
The scheme has an objective of distributing MNREGA job cards to the labourers of the state. This scheme will focus on providing employment to migrant labourers. The Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh has launched a new scheme called ‘Didi Vehicle Service’ for rural women for free and safe delivery.

5. “Khelo India Community Coach Development Programme”

Notes:- The Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju has recently launched a 25-day Khelo India Community Coach Development Program.
The program seeks to train about 15,000 Physical Education Teachers and Community Coaches across India. Sports Ministry will collaborate with the Human Resources Ministry to implement this program in all school in India.

6.  “Nagar Van”

Notes:- The Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar launched the ‘Nagar Van’ or ‘Urban Forests’ program to increase forest cover in urban areas.
During the virtual celebration of World Environment Day 2020, themed as ‘Nature and Biodiversity’, the program was launched with 200 corporations and cities across India. The Minister urged the people to actively participate in the program to increase the tree cover in their areas. This year, the government’s target for tree plantation is 145 crores.

7.  “Rs 2000 per migrant after successful completion of quarantine period”

Notes:- The Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik had earlier announced that the state would provide an incentive of Rs 2000 per migrant after successful completion of quarantine period.
Recently, the proposed incentives have been paid to 1,10,080 people, as per the Health and Family Welfare Department of the state. For this incentive disbursal, ₹19.03 crore have been spent from the Chief Minister Relief Fund.

8. ‘Digital Economy Mission’

Notes:- The Karnataka Cabinet has recently cleared the formation of Karnataka Digital Economy Mission. The mission is incorporated as a new company with the state government holding 49 per cent and industries and other stakeholders holding 51 per cent.
The company aims to promote over 7,000 start-ups, e-commerce and other gig (informal) economy companies in the State. Prior to this mission, these firms were operating under the Technology Mission of the state and were governed by various departments.

9. “Vijnana Bharti for promoting rural development”

Notes:- A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan-Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (UBA-IITD) and Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA), New Delhi.
The objective of the MoU is to provide joint action in the area of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) for rural development of India. UBA is a flagship program of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) by connecting academic institutions with local communities.

10. ‘Mukhya Mantri Kisan Sahay Yojana’ replacing PM Fasal Bima Yojana”

Notes:- The Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani has recently launched a State-funded scheme named Mukhya Mantri Kisan Sahay Yojana.
It has been launched to replace the central crop-insurance scheme Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). Gujarat has exited from the scheme as it considers that the insurance scheme charges hefty premium cost to the State. The new alternate scheme will cover all farmers for the current kharif season.
