Hello Aspirants,

1. Parts of Speech:
   • Noun: A word that represents a person, place, thing, or idea.
   • Pronoun: A word used in place of a noun to avoid repetition.
   • Verb: A word that expresses an action, occurrence, or state of being.
   • Adjective: A word that describes or modifies a noun.
   • Adverb: A word that describes or modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
   • Preposition: A word that shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words in a sentence.
   • Conjunction: A word that connects words, phrases, or clauses.
   • Interjection: A word or phrase used to express strong emotion or surprise.
2. Sentence Structure:
   • Subject: The noun or pronoun that performs the action or is being described in a sentence.
   • Predicate: The part of the sentence that contains the verb and provides information about the subject.
   • Direct Object: The noun or pronoun that receives the action of the verb.
   • Indirect Object: The noun or pronoun that receives the direct object.
   • Phrase: A group of words that functions as a unit within a sentence.
   • Clause: A group of words that contains a subject and a predicate.
3. Tenses:
   • Present Tense: Describes actions happening now or general truths.
   • Past Tense: Describes actions that have already happened.
   • Future Tense: Describes actions that will happen in the future.
   • Perfect Tense: Describes actions that have been completed before a certain time.
   • Continuous/Progressive Tense: Describes actions in progress at a specific time.
   • Perfect Continuous/Progressive Tense: Describes actions that started in the past, continue in the present, and may continue into the future.
4. Sentence Types:
   • Declarative Sentence: Makes a statement or expresses an opinion.
   • Interrogative Sentence: Asks a question.
   • Imperative Sentence: Gives a command or makes a request.
   • Exclamatory Sentence: Expresses strong emotion or surprise.
5. Subject-Verb Agreement:
   • The subject and verb in a sentence must agree in number (singular or plural).
   • Singular subjects generally take singular verbs, and plural subjects take plural verbs.
6. Punctuation:
   • Period (.) – Used at the end of a declarative or imperative sentence.
   • Question Mark (?) – Used at the end of an interrogative sentence.
   • Exclamation Mark (!) – Used at the end of an exclamatory sentence.
   • Comma (,) – Used to separate items in a list, separate clauses, and for other purposes.
   • Apostrophe (‘) – Used to show possession or contraction.
